Why Not You Foundation

Founded by Russell Wilson in 2014, we are a nonprofit dedicated to education, children’s health, fighting poverty, and empowering today’s youth to 'lead with a why, not you attitude.'

Our mission is to empower change in the world, one individual at a time, and one child at a time.

30/30 Project

The 30/30 Project is a partnership between the Lewis family and Construction for Change. Its mission is to improve access to comprehensive healthcare by building 30 medical facilities worldwide. The 30/30 Project and CFC are partnering with local on-the-ground organizations to help build, eventually operate, and staff the health facilities with qualified professional healthcare providers. These partners include Partners in Health, Integrate Health, The Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children and other non‐profit organizations that serve women, children, and their families.

The Residency

The Residency, developed by Macklemore, seeks to build a powerful community of young hip-hop artists equipped with the artistic and leadership skills, business acumen, and mentorship necessary to become professional artists and cultural change makers. Through their participation in The Residency, young artists from low-income families in the Seattle area acquire tangible artistic and professional skills while also gaining confidence, teamwork, and a deepened understanding of their own identity and power.

Seattle Alliance

Giving Project

The Seattle Alliance Giving Project calls on their community — and specifically white people and non-Black people of color — to move away from silence and neutrality in the Black community. They ask for a commitment to supporting Black-led organizations in the region, not just in reaction to single instances of anti-Black violence, but in perpetuity.
